ABOUT
Kitty Everson is a UK-based artist and designer whose work is rooted in a lifelong fascination with fashion, nature and the decorative arts. After graduating with First Class honours in Fashion Design from Manchester Metropolitan University, specialising in print and textiles, she began developing a multidisciplinary practice spanning artwork, illustration, fashion print and interiors.
Alongside her wider creative practice, Kitty creates original paintings and limited-edition prints inspired by the natural world, folklore and the beauty of impermanence. Her collection brings together expressive, tactile pieces designed to bring a sense of character, colour and quiet intrigue into the home.
Kitty Everson’s creative practice is deeply informed by her immediate environment, particularly her family home: a 1959 mid-century house designed by architects Remo and Mary Granelli. Her parents have spent over a decade carefully restoring its original features whilst quietly layering their own patina over time. Growing up surrounded by architecture, antiques and objects with their own histories has fostered a lasting appreciation for the stories that spaces and objects can hold.
Nature and animals are equally central to Kitty’s work. Growing up in a family of animal lovers, her home was always full of animals, from dogs and cats to chickens, rabbits and even a pet pigeon. She is drawn to the changing seasons and the fleeting details of the natural world, finding beauty in both the familiar and the overlooked.
Kitty’s fascination with the fleeting extends into her interest in memento mori and folklore, particularly their darker and more mysterious qualities. Her work explores the relationship between beauty and mortality, drawing on nature, symbolism and storytelling to create work that feels both decorative and quietly unsettling.
