ABOUT

Hi, my name is Kitty Everson. I’m a freelance print designer based in the UK. I specialise in creating bespoke patterns and surface prints for fashion, homeware and interiors. My work often explores themes of beauty and nature, drawing inspiration from fleeting moments and quiet details.

I hold a First Class degree in Fashion Design from Manchester Metropolitan University. My practice focuses on print and textile design, exploring colour, texture, and contemporary surface pattern. Selected fashion projects from my degree are also featured.

My creative practice is deeply informed by my immediate environment, particularly my family home; a 1959 mid-century home designed by architects Remo and Mary Granelli. A project my parents undertook a decade ago, I have grown up watching them carefully restore and preserve its original features, whilst we have quietly layered our own patina over time. This led to a deep love for architecture and antiques, and an enduring appreciation for the stories they hold; an influence that continues to shape my design practice and approach to storytelling.

Nature and animals are integral to my practice. Growing up in a family of animal lovers, our home was always full, dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, rabbits, and even a pet pigeon, making animals feel like an extension of everyday life. I feel most grounded and inspired when in nature, and this connection quietly runs through my work. Watching my home change with the seasons, as flowers bloom, frost forms, and leaves fall, I am constantly finding something new within the everyday.

Travel is so important to my practice; to immerse myself in different cultures and landscapes, to connect with people and places, and to learn about their history, whilst absorbing new colours, textures, and ways of living that influence my work, continually evolving my perspective.

My process often begins with observational drawing and image collection, underpinned by a strong foundation in both drawing and painting. I use these skills to explore form, texture, and composition, which I then develop through collage and digital manipulation to create layered, expressive prints.

I am passionate about working collaboratively, with the goal of bringing each client’s vision to life through thoughtful and distinctive print design.
